From January 5th to 16th 2024, Brisbane became the epicentre of aquatic excitement as it played host to the  Australian Youth Water Polo Championships! With nearly 3000 participants representing around 180 teams from across the nation, the tournament was a showcase of talent, determination, and passion for the sport.

Special Shoutout to Our Grand Finalists at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships! 🏅🎉

We would like to give a special shoutout to our 5 teams who battled their way to the Grand Finals and to our 2 amazing 16's Goalies who were both awarded "Most Valuable Goalie (MVG)" of the Tournament awards, Chloe Long and Alex Woolfe! 🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️

🥇 M16A's (Gold Division) - Champions! A huge round of applause to our Men's 16A's for their outstanding performance, clinching the Gold Medal in the Gold Division! Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have truly paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of their achievement!

🥇 W18 (Green Division) - Champions! Congratulations to our Women's 18 team for their stellar performance, securing the Gold Medal in the Green Division! Their determination and skill in the pool have earned them well-deserved recognition as champions. Way to go, ladies!

🥈 W16A's (Gold Division) - Silver Medalists! A stellar effort from our Women's 16A's, who showcased incredible talent and determination throughout the tournament, earning them the Silver Medal in the highly competitive Gold Division. Your resilience and sportsmanship have been truly commendable!

🥈 M16B's (Green Division) - Silver Medalists! A fantastic achievement for our Men's 16B's, who displayed grit and determination to secure the Silver Medal in the Gold Division. Your hard work and perseverance have paid off, and we applaud you for your exceptional performance!

🥈 M12's - Silver Medalists! A round of applause for our Men's 12's team, who showcased skill and determination beyond their years, securing the Silver Medal in the face of tough competition. Your dedication and passion for the sport are truly inspiring!

But the accolades don't stop there! We want to extend a massive Congratulations to ALL our players across all the different age categories and divisions. You all represented SNB with pride and passion. Whether it was a win, a loss, or a hard-fought draw, our teams displayed the true spirit of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. These values are what make us not only great athletes but also outstanding individuals. Let's continue to uphold these principles both in and out of the pool!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the guidance and support of our dedicated coaches and the unwavering encouragement from our supporters. Your commitment to all our team's success has been invaluable, and we extend our thanks for all that you do!

We are also thrilled to announce that this tournament has been our most successful Nationals to date! SNB has made waves by securing remarkable positions in the "Overall Club Standings":

• 3rd place overall in the Women's division 🙌

• 3rd place overall in the Men's division 🎉

• 2nd place overall in the combined Men's and Women's divisions 🏆

A massive thank you is in order to our phenomenal Tour Manager, Corinne Long, whose tireless efforts and meticulous organisation ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the tournament. Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed!

We also extend our gratitude to all the Managers and Chaperones who supported our teams every step of the way, providing guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support both in and out of the pool. Your contributions have been invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for all that you do!

These achievements are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our players, coaches, and support staff. We couldn't be prouder of each and every member of the SNB family!

The NSW Junior State Water Polo Championships are being held in Sydney this April 2024, during the School Holidays. 

U18's & U16's Dates: 15th - 19th April 2024  

Venue: Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre,  Homebush (SOPAC)

* U18's PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: Born 2006 and 2007 

* U16's PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: Born 2008 and 2009

U14's Dates: 19th - 23rd April 2024    

Venue: Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, Homebush (SOPAC)

* U14's PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: Born 2010 and 2011

Competition Format: The Championship event will be held as a single competition for each age group... THERE WILL BE NO 'A' & 'B' DIVISION...

Expressions of Interest/Availability: Could Parents/Players please advise their Managers/Coaches of their availability to attend the NSW Junior State Championships ASAP as this will enable the club to plan and assist coaches to finalise team lists.

* We have received confirmation from the WPNSW Performance Pathways Manager that NSW Junior State Championships will not be a selection event, as it was last year. Further development programs will be determined in collaboration with WPA and WPNSW will advise clubs in due course.

NOTICE of the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) for the SYDNEY NORTHERN BEACHES (BREAKERS) WATER POLO CLUB

ALL positions will be declared vacant following the Treasurer's Report.

SNB runs on the dedication and support of volunteers, and we're looking for more people to join our team. As we prepare for our upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), we invite you to consider volunteering your time and skills to help our club run efficiently and effectively.

Whether you have experience in administration, event coordination, coaching, fundraising, finance, or simply have a passion for supporting our athletes and promoting Water Polo in our community, there's a role for you at SNB. By volunteering with us, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the success of our club.

We are in urgent need of more hands to assist with the vital running of our Club. If you have the enthusiasm and commitment to contribute, whether by joining the Committee or sharing your ideas, we welcome your involvement.

With only a few weeks left of the Summer Metro Season it's time to start getting excited and organised for the upcoming 2024 Winter Metro Season.

WPNSW Winter Metro 2024 Season Starts on Sunday 26th May 2024 - Mid August 2024 (with a break over the June/July Holidays), it will be a 9-10 week competition.

If you or your child/ren are interested in playing Winter Metro, EOI Registrations open MONDAY 18th MARCH @ 10am. Please register your EOI "Expression of Interest" by FRIDAY 26TH APRIL 2024 5pm.

Please head to 2024 Winter Metro EOI and register under the correct age group. This EOI will help determine the level of interest and participation, which will then inform decisions regarding the number of teams, coaches, and other logistical details. 

U14’s – Born 2012 & 2011

U16’s – Born 2010 & 2009

U18’s – Born 2008 & 2007

 Junior Women’s & Men’s Grades (U14, U16, 18's) 

Commence: Sunday, 26th May – Mid August 2024 TBC.  

Exception Dates:

 Once the Expression of Interest (EOI) period has closed, the SNB Women's and Men's Directors will be in touch to provide updates on trials, the formation of teams and coaches. Stay tuned for further communication.

Please understand that this Expression of Interest (EOI) does NOT guarantee you a place on a team. This process is to calculate numbers and gauge interest so we are able to determine how many teams we will be entering, Coaches and Pool availability.

There is NO cost for EOI and you do not need to log in with your username or password, scroll down and complete the "Basic Details" using the Player Name, NOT the Parent Name. PLEASE ensure you register under the correct age group.

Winter Metro fees will be confirmed prior to the start of the competition and are dependent on various factors, including WPNSW Fees structure. SNB will invoice all players before the competition begins. Please ensure that all fees are paid and up to date before the competition starts to ensure smooth participation. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

16&U Men's Australian World Aquatics Championship Team - Alex Woolfe, Jett Semmens & Lachie Davies. These players will be travelling to Malta in June to compete.

16&U Women's Australian World Aquatics Championship Team - TBA May 2024. Players selected in the World Champs team will travel to Turkey in June to compete. Players selected in the 16&U Green team will travel to New Zealand in July to compete.
