CODE OF CONDUCT

SYDNEY NORTHERN BEACHES WATER POLO CLUB INCORPORATED

In addition to Waterpolo Australia’s Code of Conduct adopted by Waterpolo NSW....
All SNB Water Polo Club Members, Coaches, Officials, Administrators, Parents/Guardians and
Spectators must abide by the SNB Water Polo Code of Conduct, which includes the following:
TOURING REPRESENTATIVE - CODE OF BEHAVIOUR
As a selected Representative player/team member of SNB Breakers Waterpolo Club Inc, I will:
• travel with and stay in the same accommodation as the team, at my own cost;
• wear the SNB Breakers Waterpolo Club/Team uniform;
• obey all reasonable instructions and requests made by Team Coaches and Managers
• ensure that Team Coaches and Managers are aware of my whereabouts at all times. Unless prior arrangements or permission has been granted by the Team Coaches and/or Managers, players are not allowed to leave the camp or competition venue by
themselves or with any other person;
• attend all team practice sessions, matches or meetings unless excused by the Team Coach and/or Manager. This requirement includes the need to attend any games or finals involving other teams and any official functions or meetings;
• accept that a total ban exists during the competitions, on partaking of alcohol, drugs (except medically prescribed), the driving of motor vehicles and smoking;
• abide by the policy of the Australian Sports Commission and under no circumstances take performance enhancing or illegal/illicit drugs;
• allow no member of the opposite sex in accommodation area, and vice versa, do not enter accommodation area of a member of the opposite sex;
• hand all electronic devices to The Coach and/or Manager each evening, as requested;
• abide by penalties that may be imposed at the discretion of the Team Coaches and/or Manager and/or SNB Breakers Waterpolo Inc Board
• accept that any instances of poor behaviour or breach of the Code of Behaviour that I will be sent home (at my own expense) or otherwise excluded from the Team and/or Squad;
CONSENT OF CODE OF BEHAVIOUR AGREEMENT
I (Parent/Carer) hereby consent to my son/daughter travelling with the Sydney Northern Beaches Breakers Waterpolo Club Inc Touring Team.
I understand in the case of loss, injury or damage sustained by my child incidental to during or as a result of participation in trials, training, matches, games, events that I will make no claim against the SNB Breakers Water Polo Club. I further agree that Team Manager/s involved with the team have my full authority to take any necessary action and I will meet any additional expense. I understand that any instances of poor conduct during the selection, training, traveling and attendance of competitions, including participation in games, matches or events will be brought to the attention of the parent/guardian and the SNB Breakers Committee so that disciplinary actions can be taken, if warranted.
I understand that (player) will be under the care of SNB Breakers Water Polo officials and that no responsibility will be taken for his/her safety and well-being should he/she not comply with the Code of Conduct, as stated. I understand that failure to adhere to this Code may negate any future touring opportunities for my child and may even result in instant dismissal from the team/squad and therefore arrange, in conjunction with the Team Manager, for his/her immediate and unescorted return to Sydney, at my expense.
