On the back Breakers' success in the First Division Grand Finals, the Club has achieved more Grand Final victories in the 2010/11 Summer Competition. Congratulations to
U/18 Girls (defeated UNSW Killer Whales 9-5)
U/16A Girls (defeated Cronulla Blue 9-7)
L5 Ladies (defeated Dolphins 8-7)
Commiserations to the L3 Ladies and U/14A boys who both made the Grand Final, but lost to Blue Mountains and Cronulla Blue respectively.
To have 7 teams make the Grand Final, and 5 of those teams win, is a sensational effort by the Club. Congratulations to all involved.

Breakers announces the Brookvale Hotel as a major sponsor |
The Brookvale Hotel has agreed to sponsor Breakers Water Polo for the 2010/2011 Summer season and the 2011 Winter season.
All teams are encouraged to organise a team dinner or two at the Hotel throughout the course of each season. Please let the bar staff know you are from Breakers Water Polo and ask they note your attendance in their shift report. This is to ensure there is some record of our patronage at the Hotel, which we can use to demonstrate our commitment when it comes time to negotiate with Hotel for future sponsorship.
Kids eat free at the Hotel on Sundays, and $11 Steaks are available 7 days a week, so organise that team dinner or after match celebration now.
Keep an eye out for future social and fundraising functions at the Brookvale Hotel soon.

Mitch Jones, Conor Wolohan and James Reid from the Breakers U14 team represented NSW at the annual U14 East Coast Challenge held at the Valley Pool in Brisbane in July. Having beaten all opposition during the pool rounds NSW Blues went on to beat a very competitive Queensland Maroon side in the grand final on front of a large parochial Brisbane crowd to win the tournament |

The U16 mens' team's summer season came to a conclusion with a third placing at the State Clubs Championships held at Wollongong, following a third placing in the Metropolitan Competition. The U16 mens competitions were very keenly contested, with Breakers, Hunter and Cronulla dominant and Drummoyne and UNSW/Wests well in the mix. During the Metropolitan Competition, Breakers defeated Cronulla in their only game during the competition rounds but were beaten by Cronulla in the elimination final. Cronulla went on to win the grand final against Hunter. At the State Clubs Championships, the Breakers went through the round robin of games and tri-final undefeated but again lost to Cronulla in the semi-final. This time, Hunter had the better of Cronulla and won the grand final. Breakers players selected into the State U16 squad; Ciaran Wolohan, Matt Willows, Harrison Williams and Jarrad Freakley.
